We are applying for grants to support activities
in the Gallery. A monthly artist membership fee and a 20% commission
on sales are used to cover operational expenses. With our move to
our present location and an increase in expenses, the Gallery needs
to find additional sources of revenue. We initiated a ‘Patron of the
Month’ program ($300/ two month period) as a way to meet our new expenses.
We also have opportunities for Businesses to be a sponsor at various
levels, starting at $500 per month. This money enables us to lower
our fees to help out artists of minority or low-income groups.
The
Board of Directors is composed of a mix of participating artists and
community business leaders who advise and assist in the functions of
the Gallery. Their terms of office are determined by the by-laws
of the organization.
