Art Plus Gallery is currently recruiting new artists in all mediums for membership.   We offer a mix of framed original artwork in oil, acrylic, watermedia, photography and colored pencil, along with sculpture, pottery and jewelry.   Our mission is to expand on these media as well as fine craft artwork.

Art Plus Gallery is a cooperative gallery currently composed of 22 area juried artists who are totally responsible for the operation of the gallery. All new members are selected through a jurying by three current members.

All members agree to function under the following considerations:

•  Sign a written contract for a one-year commitment to Art Plus Gallery, renewable on a yearly basis. An initial $35.00 security deposit is required.

•  Pay a monthly fee of $35.00.

•  Gallery receives 20% commission of all sales.

•  Work at least one day a month in the gallery as a sales person. Substitutes are available at $7.00 per hour. Exchanges of assignments are permitted.

•  All work exhibited in the gallery must be original. Work in bins may be prints. All members accept size and number restrictions, usually 3 pieces per show. In order to avoid conflict of interest, artists agree not to exhibit their art at other galleries in West Reading .

•  Submit a resume/bio/artist statement to keep on file in the gallery.

•  Attend evening gallery business meetings (one per month) and openings (1 every 2 months).

•  Attend an orientation session for gallery operational procedures and policies.

•  Serve as an active member on gallery committees. Committees: Hanging, publicity, hospitality, scheduling, jurying, out-reach, and fundraising.

•  Art Plus Gallery is not responsible for works lost, stolen, or damaged by any possible cause while in the gallery .
