2nd Annual Wine & Cheese Fund Raiser

On September 28th, from 4 - 7 pm, Art Plus Gallery will be holding a Wine & Cheese Fund Raising Event.  This year it will be held on the grounds of the Villa St. Elizabeth, 1201 Museum Road in Wyomissing.  Jim Morrissey, sommelier, will serve for your taste his selection of fine wines and cheeses.  Art Plus members will be showing their selections of fine art.  We will also hold a silent auction for art and other items from the community.  This is a tented, rain or shine affair.  If you are interested in purchasing tickets please send a check payable to Art Plus Gallery, with your name, number of tickets and return address.  Tickets are $20 each.  Your donation is tax deductible.  Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the event.

Jody Rex, good friend, Art Plus Gallery Membership Artist, and active Berks Art Alliance member, has an inoperable brain tumor. She is undergoing treatment and we wish her the best.

Jody will be facing monumental medical bills. The art community is stepping up to help Jody all they can. Art Plus Gallery will be selling prints – “Ireland Memories” by Jody Rex and “Flowers For Jody” by Harry Bentz to aid in this effort. All proceeds go to the Jody Rex Fund. These quality giclee prints are a limited edition of 100 each and will sell for $65 each

Art Plus Gallery is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cooperative gallery, Currently located at 604 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA  19611.  The main mission of the Gallery is to provide a venue for aspiring area artists to exhibit and sell their work, free from the limiting constraints commercial gallery requirements. The Gallery identifies, encourages, and supports developing local artists.  A secondary mission of the Art Plus Gallery is to provide a venue for young musicians, encourage art students and senior citizens to explore the world of art, and to reach out to the community.

Art Plus Gallery was initially formed in May of 2000. Eighteen area artists were selected through a juried process to create a level of artistic competence expected in a gallery setting and present a diverse range of media and artists.  The current mix of participating artists show works in oil, acrylic, watercolor media, colored pencil, and pastel.  There is also sculpture, stained glass, photography, and jewelry.  The Gallery is open for business 6 days a week.  Shows change every two months.
